Sam will be conducting a session on Monday morning October 16; Creating a Culture of Value Growth for Privately Held Companies. The program will review Internal Revenue Code ("IRC") §162(a)(1), the treasury regulations 1.162.7-10T, the highly regarded court cases on executive compensation, and recent revenue rulings on the “expanding” definition of compensation. Discussion of “Mason Factors,” the “Prudent Investor” standard, and what business owners need to do to be in compliance with the IRC, will demonstrate how to implement compensation programs that will actually change the compensation culture and ultimately drive up revenue, profitability and share value.
Sam will also be on the panel speaking at the general session scheduled for Tuesday morning, All Rise, Probate Court is Now in Session, a case study addressing the issues of a successful entrepreneur’s complicated, but poorly developed, estate plan and the issues attendant to the various people who populated his colorful life!
